Yes, for special labeling of individual bottles up to a quantity of 500 bottles, we can design the labels ourselves, as long as no special finishes, such as gloss effects, are desired. Special labels for individual bottles are printed directly by us; larger quantities are ordered online from label printers.

For larger projects, we recommend collaborating with agencies or the design departments of label printers. We are happy to facilitate this and send basic design elements and our design guidelines to the agency/printer.

In principle, it is possible to customize front and back labels. For cost reasons (personnel/design effort), we recommend customized back labels only for orders of 100 bottles or more. For smaller quantities, we recommend a combination of a customized front label and our standard back label for the respective product. If the standard back label is to be omitted, all legally binding information must be placed on the front label.

For cost reasons (minimizing setup times), we recommend using our standard label sizes for the respective product for quantities up to 500 bottles. For larger quantities, the costs for setup times per individual label are relatively low.

Yes, we provide design guidelines to meet legal requirements and ensure that designs do not violate our brand identity and core values.

Design guidelines include, for example: legally binding information on product designation, net quantity, alcohol content, distributor or manufacturer, lot numbers for traceability, allergen information (if necessary), and prescribed font sizes according to applicable European and German law.

Designs that violate our brand identity and core values include, for example:

  • those with offensive or derogatory content,
  • those with messages intended to appeal to minors,
  • those that make the bottle's contents appear to be of low quality,
  • those containing falsehoods about manufacturing, content, or origin.

For most inquiries, images (e.g., company or club logos, pictures of individuals, groups of friends, clubs, or teams) and text modules (e.g., names, congratulations, dates of anniversaries and special occasions, or event names) are combined and fitted into our label layout. However, taking into account the design guidelines, we can also design your labels in a highly individualized way.

As a premium grain distillery, we primarily offer products based on grain distillate, e.g., wheat grain, liqueurs, herbal spirits, and barrel-aged grain. You can find our current product range here in the online shop.

However, since we recently acquired a smaller still, we may be able to offer other alcoholic products in the future.

In principle, the redesign/adaptation of an existing product is also possible. For a completely new product, a minimum of 500 liters must be purchased.

In principle, a different placing-on-the-market operator can only be named on the label if it is a food business operator or a food processing company. Otherwise, we must be named.

We personally consider our mention as the manufacturer to be transparent, honest, and appreciative even in the former case, e.g., "distilled by Edelkorn Distillery Jos. Rosche" / "produced in cooperation with Edelkorn Distillery Jos. Rosche."

We have a stock of already filled barrels for our product lines "Edelkorn Generation 5" and "Joe's Best" and other experimental barrels. The latter can also be used for your personal wooden barrel.

We do not have unfilled barrels in stock. These can be ordered through professional barrel traders after we have discussed them in the development process. A prerequisite here, of course, is availability, which must be checked on a case-by-case basis.

Oak wood is used for most barrels because it is easy to work with and not too porous. The aromas released from the oak into the liquid are mostly considered pleasant and suitable for various spirits. American white oak is primarily used internationally, but European or French oak is also used less frequently.

For specific other spirits, barrels made of chestnut, cherry, acacia, etc. are also used.

That varies greatly, from 3 – 600 liters. Below 30 liters, purchasing a barrel for personal use is usually relatively expensive.

There is a wealth of possibilities here. We have already used casks with various prior contents, such as Bourbon Whiskey, Rye Whiskey, Sherry, Port Wine, Madeira, as well as various white and red wines. Former rum, calvados or cognac casks are also possible. You can find our current selection of cask-aged Edelkorn here.
