Our quality speaks for itself

The most important basis for producing a good fine grain distillate is the quality and uniformity of the raw material.

To ensure the best raw material quality year after year, we grow our wheat ourselves. This allows us to significantly influence the choice of varieties and fertilization. The use of state-of-the-art technology and the consideration of time-tested principles for crop rotation are a given.

The blue and yellow EU quality seal ("PGI" = "protected geographical indication") on our Haselünner Korn confirms that not only bottling and distillation, but also the cultivation of the raw material takes place here in Haselünne.

Mashing and fermenting

Kilned barley malt – sweetly fragrant and indispensable

For decades, we have been using fresh, sweet-smelling barley malt during mashing to convert wheat starch into sugar. The yeast then ferments the sugar into alcohol.

We find the slightly sweet scent of the malt reflected in the aroma of our fine grain distillates and the various premium grain and grain varieties.

Stripping and Spirit Run

Made by professionals who are passionate about their craft.

We achieve the high quality of our "Rosche-Fein-Destillat" through the design of our stills, the preservation of time-tested distillation methods, and our "good nose" and refined sense of taste.

For the production of our spirits, we only use the heart of each distillation. Our Korn is therefore characterized by its particularly mild taste and the excellent wheat bouquet.

We refrain from purchasing Korn alcohol, as many others do. This secures us a special status in the Korn market. We produce three of the five protected geographical indications for Korn in Germany: Haselünner Korn, Hasetaler Korn, and Emsländer Edelkorn.

Manufacture of spirits and liqueurs

Exquisite herbal infusions and fruit juices

The purity of the grain distillates we use also benefits us in the production of our liqueurs and fruit brandies, as well as our juniper and other grain specialties: the well-rounded taste experience of each glass results from the balanced combination of the best herbal or fruit juice components with the fine grain distillate and, of course, the best Haselünne water.

The perceptible aroma and mildness of our grain spirits exceptionally support, for example, the respective fruit or herbal notes of the ingredients. We source high-quality fruit juices, herbal extracts, etc., for the production of liqueurs or spirits from long-standing suppliers. Here, we invest in the best quality for you.

Maturation of the distillate in wooden casks

Flavors of the World

Our cask-aged grain specialities combine our mild fine grain distillate with diverse flavours from around the world.

In carefully selected casks – such as those previously used for Bourbon whiskey, port wine, Madeira, or Pinot Noir – they develop a new character over many months and years of maturation, ranging from vanilla, caramel, and dried fruits to fine roasted aromas.

Each cask is special and unique. Our aged specialities are bottled gently without chill-filtration as single casks or blends in small quantities, preserving their aromas. Perfect for anyone who wants to rediscover and consciously enjoy grain spirits.
